Neil T King - Creative Work

As well as web design, I am experienced in graphic design and have many published pieces of work including book covers and t-shirts. I have designed countless posters, logos and printed materials plus online banners and social media adverts.

I also create animations, illustrations, artwork, videos and other creative media. This includes presentations I have been invited to deliver both in-person (e.g. on stage at the BETT Show in London) and for online webinars. A few examples of my work are below.

Some Animations

The above video is from a training course I built entitled "Computer and Video Game Theory for Independent Developers". With 20 years experience in the Further Education sector, 2 number 1 apps in the App Store and many games released, I wanted to help inspire those who would love to become independent game makers. It is aimed at all ages and levels of ability, and includes 100% animated video (subtitled and lip synced) to engage and entertain students. Split into 47 bite-sized chunks it can be accessed in spare time and should hopefully give participants a clearer idea of how to make a game, important things to research, pitfalls to avoid, and the mind set needed to create a game to meet their vision.
It is published by Udemy here: https://www.udemy.com/computergametheory/

A trailer for the video game Cogalot, made using a combination of animation and gameplay footage. The game is available for Android devices, Chromebooks and Windows PC. It is a finalist in the 2024 TIGA Games Industry Awards.

I have created many animated tutorials to promote and explain how to use various online and stand-alone applications. This one is for Safeguarding 24 which allows users of subscribed organisations (such as schools) to report any safeguarding concerns they have securely, quickly and with evidence. All artwork, animation and even the voice-over for this video was created by myself.

This video is a trailer for some animated cartoons I made to entertain children. The main character is "Dizzy the Dolphin" and along with her friends, she went on brightly coloured and fun adventures. They were especially popular during the Covid 19 lock-down when I released them for free to help keep kids occupied and entertained while they were stuck at home.
